Recently a lovely mom came to me and said she was looking to do a portrait session that captured the special relationship between her two daughters. Okay, I'm there!
Mary Lou asked if I could squeeze her in right away - her two daughters were about to head out of town. 20-year-old Emma was going back to college, and 26- year- old Johanna was going back to her home in Colorado. We quickly set a date, met at nearby park on a mercifully warm late November day, and captured some wonderful images. It was clear to me right away that the relationship between these sisters was indeed special, and I can see why Mary Lou wanted to document it. But what I also saw was the incredible bond they have with their mom. They were all so comfortable together, and so loving, and it was just more proof (and as a mom myself I think I already knew this) that a mother's bond with her children continues until…well, forever.
